A few weeks ago NetSafe attended CORE Education’s annual conference for educators, Ulearn 09, held down in Christchurch. After a long weekend away from the office, it’s time to think back about the good old days of the internet when under constuction signs and tuneless Midi files ruled the web… A recent US study has found that 45% of employers research social networking sites for information on prospective employees. Of them, 35% have rejected applicants based on content on a person’s sn page. For those who are concerned about the amount of information available an interesting article to read (and one which gives detailed information [...] I would have thought that there has been enough reporting and education about scams and social engineering for people to be able to resist them, however that appears not to be the case. |
